Shorne Woods Autumn Family Mini Session with Hailey & Joe

Not long after Hailey & Joe's lovely mini portrait session at Shorne Woods, Hailey got back in touch with me to plan something special for their daughter's first birthday, this time at their home in Medway.

Although this would be primarily about Lily, Hailey & Joe wanted to combine a few things into the session, including some of the three of them outside in the garden, and with their extremely fluffy dog! After some cute photos indoors in Lily's bedroom, we headed outside for a picnic style set up, reminiscent of their family session in the autumn.

Then the real fun began. Hailey had ordered a cake for Lily, with the idea of having a bit of a cake smash in the garden with some added fresh fruits. As it turned out, Lily felt it was almost too nice a cake to destroy, and it took a fair bit of encouragement to get her to dig in and 'smash' it!

This was a super fun session to be a part of, and my first of hopefully many more cake smashes to come.
