I’ve lived all my life by the sea in Southeast Kent and, although this corner of the country has a great wealth of gorgeous wedding venues and outdoor spaces for engagement, portrait, and pet mini sessions, I love to discover new and hidden gems across the country. That’s why my 'full day' wedding photography collections include generous travel allowances, and I'm always happy to venture further afield, so you can be sure of an awesome photography experience regardless of where you live! This also applies to my engagement and portrait sessions too, so don't be afraid to enquire about additional travel requirements.
Before starting my business back in 2014, I spent some 15 years embracing photography as a hobby. I take great pride in being completely self-taught, as it’s helped me develop my own style and creative flair. My approach is laid back yet thorough, ensuring everything is done in a relaxed way with minimal fuss and posing. That is why I became a photographer. Not to micro-manage people, but to encourage joy.
My photography services cover a few genres, with wedding and engagement photography being my key focus. Alongside this, I love being involved with family sessions, maternity and newborn, and even pet mini sessions. You really can have the whole family involved, even those that are still yet to arrive. So make sure to cherish those moments with the ones you love, and capture those memories for a lifetime with photography by Michaelangelo.
Travel has always been a big passion of mine, and I'm fortunate to have visited many countries across 6 continents over the years. I always like to go to the places not many people venture and really go off the beaten track. I also love to hike and go camping, and have been on some amazing trips over the years. Climbing Kilimanjaro in 2010 is still the highlight for me - a massive achievement in such an extreme yet beautiful environment - and it's what really kicked off my passion for the outdoors.
Since then I've been trekking in Nepal, Peru, Morocco and the Alps, as well as on some incredible days out in the UK too. Get me outside with a pack on my back and boots on my feet and I'm a happy chappy! I'm also working towards gaining my Mountain Leader Award, which would allow me to lead novice groups in the UK hills and mountains.
Aside from my own adventures, I also volunteer as a trainer and expedition assessor for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, working mainly around Kent. This has been an amazing way to meet new people, and impart my knowledge and experience on school students eager to enjoy the outdoors with their friends. More recently, I've also taken up running in an attempt to shed some stubborn Covid lockdown weight, and as an incentive to get back to doing regular Parkruns. I've even done some 10k races, with my first half marathon (eek!) booked in for March 2025!
