I first met Verity a few months earlier at one of my portrait photography workshops which I run a few times a year. As part of these, I hire a local model for those in attendance to practice their lighting skills on. As I had now finally finished editing my 2021 weddings, I had a bit of free time before the 2022 season began, so Verity and I arranged to work together again, but this time for a fashion/lifestyle portrait session.
The Medway towns is not an area I know that well, but having spent a bit of time in Rochester over the years, I knew it had some hidden gems where we could go during the session to get some good photos. It's also where Verity is based, so that worked out quite well! It was a pretty windy and cold February day, and cloudy too, which made for some challenging conditions at times. But Verity soldiered on regardless, often with watery eyes and messy hair due to the cold wind!
We had a good wander around the town centre and explored some of the cute little side streets and local parks, before winding back around to the iconic cathedral. Despite only having met her briefly before, Verity was great fun to work with with a really positive energy, and we both loved the resulting photos from the afternoon.
Portrait sessions are great whatever the time of year, and are the perfect way to show off your style. If you'd like to organise your own lifestyle portrait session, head over to my portrait photography page for more details, or get in touch here to enquire.
