While most of my engagement sessions tend to happen in the spring and summer ahead of weddings in the same year. For those who have spring weddings, having your engagement session the previous autumn can be a great option - as it's not too cold, and the colours that can be found are truly beautiful this time of year.
Steph & James don't drive, but had their heart set on going somewhere really stunning for their session. After some research, we decided on Leonardslee Gardens, not far from their home in Crawley. As it would practically on the way, I offered to pick them up and drop them home afterwards, as public transport wasn't really an option for them to get there!
As none of us had been before, we didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be a truly beautiful place, and somewhere you would easily spend a day exploring (though we did the best we could in a few hours!) While Steph & James were initially a little shy, we had a great time going through the motions and getting some great photos of the two of them.
By the end of the session, it's fair to say any camera shyness had been forgotten about, and they were both full of confidence ahead of their wedding day in the spring the following year. Engagement sessions are also a great way to catch up and discuss wedding plans, or even meet for the first time if you've booked me online - something which is hugely beneficial before your wedding.
If you'd like to arrange your own engagement session, remember you can get a discount on one by booking one of my three 'full day' wedding collections.
