Jayne got in touch with me late in 2021 to arrange a family portrait session near her home in Kent, with the plan to include 3 generations of the family! Her two sons would be visiting soon, along with their partners and a granddaughter, too. Having seen my previous family sessions here on the blog, she was really keen on getting a mixture of some 'traditional' photos of everyone, with some natural and candid photos. They also wanted to include the two family pooches, one of whom sadly was getting on a bit and so wasn't very mobile anymore.
With all this in mind, Jayne suggested using some woodland nearby her home, as she and her husband would often walk the dogs there, so it had sentimental value to it. The rest of the family arrived in stages, so I took the opportunity to get photos of them as they arrived in their own 'family units', before moving on to ones of everyone all together.
It was a pretty cold morning, so Jayne and her husband provided everyone with blankets/wraps, and a flask of hot chocolate, which everyone definitely enjoyed! To wrap up the session, we brought the two family dogs over to join us, and went for a walk through the autumn leaves as the morning sun shone through the trees.
Portrait sessions are great for all occasions and seasons. If you'd like to book and arrange your own family portrait session, check out my portrait session info and prices here, or head over to the contact page to send me a message!
