Hothfield Common Autumn Portrait Session with the Deem Family

Hayley was lucky enough to receive a gift voucher for one of my portrait sessions from her dad for Christmas 2020, and last summer she got in touch to redeem it and arrange her family session along with her partner and two children. She had lots of ideas, and was really keen on including some smoke bombs if possible. While these are always great fun, they are not totally without risk, and it's always best to use them somewhere open and out of the way, and I knew just the place!

Hothfield Common is somewhere I find myself lots, and it really does make a great place for family sessions. It's big enough you can easily find a quiet little corner away from crowds, and has lots of great photographic opportunities.

As for most of my family sessions, Hayley wanted a good mix of photos of everyone together, as well as separate ones of her and her partner, and of her two children. I'm always happy to do this, and indeed it's a great way to get some variety in the final images. We also had great fun with smoke bombs during the afternoon, and even found some wild ponies towards the end of the session, too!

Don't forget, gift vouchers have a 12 month validity, so if you're fortunate to receive one make sure you redeem them in good time! Or, if you'd like to book and arrange your own family portrait session, check out my portrait session info and prices here, or head over to the contact page to send me a message!
