Amy is a good friend of mine and a fellow photographer, having met a few years ago at a photography workshop in Knole Park. We also happen to both live in the same town. I suggested we visit Kearsney Abbey near Dover one afternoon to have a look around, as I knew this was a particularly beautfiul spot in the autumn.
There were plenty of opportunities for some lovely photographs amongst the vivid autumn foliage. Amy doesn't often pose in front of the camera so she was a little shy to begin with, but by the end she was a natural! Her burgundy dress really complimented the oranges and reds that were all over this little park, and her light blue hair offered a startling contrast!
We had a great time wandering around the park, with the river running through the middle, surrounding woolands, and even some ruins, and got some amazing photographs! Kearsney Abbey is definitely one of those places that's so easily overlooked, but offers so much beauty, especially this time of year.
I love to incorporate the landscape and surroundings in my portrait sessions, so if you'd like your very own photo session, head over to my portrait page for more details, or head over to the contact page to send me a message.
