Scotney Castle Summer Engagement Session with Hannah & Craig

I met up with Hannah and Craig on a gloriously sunny day at Scotney Castle on the Kent/Sussex border for their engagement session ahead of their wedding day next spring. This place holds particular importance for me as it was where my journey into becoming a professional photographer began back in 2014.

As for most engagement or portrait sessions outdoors, I always arrive ahead of time to have a good look around and make a mental note of any good spots that would look good in photos, which really saves time later on. I had about an hour to do this before Hannah & Craig arrived and we got started in ernest.

We had a great time exploring the grounds and the old moated castle getting some lovely photos of the happy couple. It's amazing to think how many people we had to dodge to get these pristine backgrounds - you'd think we had it all to ourselves! I'm really looking forward to their wedding next March at Southdowns Manor in Sussex. If the weather is as good as it was here then we'll all be very happy bunnies!
