While I have a list of favourite spots for engagement and portrait sessions in and around Kent, I'm always keen to explore new places. On a sunny late day in May I headed to Belhus Woods in Essex, just the other side of the Dartford Crossing, to meet up with Geraldine & Daryl for their own engagement session. This was also a great opportunity to catch up and discuss there their wedding plans as their big day comes together.
Despite the number of cars and people milling around the first parts of the woodland. it was actually remarkably quiet as we explored, which helped put Geraldine & Daryl more at ease during the session as I could sense they were a little nervous about being photographed.
It's pretty common for my couples to be a little anxious initially, but I take great pride in making you feel comfortable and showcase your fun side with each other. This is what an engagement session is all about, being yourselves in a beautiful location and having fun in the process.
I really enjoyed the huge variety of locations at Belhus Woods, and I might have to add it to my list of favourite spots for engagement sessions. It also made for a lovely variety of photos for Geraldine & Daryl when receiving their online gallery. They even chose to order one of my beautifully designed wedding signing books to display at their wedding later in the year.
If you'd like to arrange your own engagement session, remember you can get a discount on one or even a complimentary session by booking one of my three 'full day' wedding collections.
