Alice and Liam entered my Valentines couples session competition for the chance to win a free mini couples session, and they were the lucky winners! I met up with them both on a windy spring afternoon on the North Kent coast in Whitstable, not far from where they both live, for their mini session. We timed so we would have the best of the late afternoon light coupled with a dramatic sunset amongst moody clouds. We started out getting them both used to the camera amongst the gardens of Whitstable Castle, which provided a great backdrop to some lovely moments between Alice and Liam as we wandered around the grounds together.
Sheltered slightly from the wind, we made the most of the lovely warm golden tones as the sun set in the background around the castle. I knew I wanted to mix in something more dramatic too, so afterwards we headed across the road and down onto the beach and the pier, which I had used for a pre-wedding session before with Donna & Phil (at a similar time of year, I might add!)
The sun provided some really amazing light and drama, and both Alice and Liam looked great together despite the wind really blowing them about, as the waves show behind them! We finished with some really cute lovely moments between them as the sun set on the North Kent coast behind. These two are actually recently engaged too so it's clear that the good vibes from their engagement in Venice are very much still there.
If you'd like to have your own couples session, whether you're engaged or not, I'd love to hear from you! It's always a great pleasure to showcase two people in love, as these are moments to really treasure for years to come.
