Waltham Abbey & Woolston Manor Summer Wedding with Jamie & Hannah

When Covid-19 reared it's ugly head in early 2020, many of my couples had their wedding plans thrown into disarray. Having to juggle new dates, supplier availability and lockdowns must have been so stressful, but thankfully many managed to have their weddings without much of a delay. Jamie & Hannah were slightly less fortunate, having to push their date back 3 times if I recall, but finally it was their turn, and boy, what a wedding it was!

Living in North London they had a huge choice of wedding venues, and they opted to have their ceremony at the historic Waltham Abbey, a church dating back to the 12th Century. With pretty big entourages for both Jamie & Hannah, it was destined to be a pretty busy day from the get go. While Hannah got ready at a nearby hotel, Jamie and his groomsmen had their morning preparations close to their home.

The ceremony and the venue were stunning in equal measures, and the grounds behind the church made for a great spot for some group photos and some beautiful daytime photos of the two of them, before leaving for the reception at Woolston Manor Country Club in Chigwell. While Jamie, Hannah and their guests mingled in the outdoor spaces, I couldn't help but admire the effort that had gone into their reception details. It was simply stunning, with rose gold details, beautiful floral arrangements and classic white LED letters in the corner.

Cheering the happy couple into the room, the speeches got under way, all coordinated by their MC, decked out in a classic black tuxedo. As golden hour was falling on the venue, we were whisked out onto the golf course in a few buggies for some additional photos around the grounds. We were certainly spoilt for choice, with views over lakes, woodland and back across to the venue with a dramatic fountain. You couldn't ask for better surroundings for their wedding reception.

As darkness fell, it was time for the cake cut and first dance, and they stole the show on the dancefloor as their guests watched on. After the first dance, Hannah's dad jumped in for the second dance, with the two of them throwing some shapes as everyone else joined in. But this wasn't the end yet...they had booked a fantastic firework display, which they enjoyed from the upstairs patio to round off the evening.
