With no sign of a busy 2021 ending yet, James & Charlotte were the last couple of the year to opt for my top package, the Everest collection. This is mainly because they had something special planned for the evening reception - more on that later! As their wedding was also happening in Hampshire, I opted to find somewhere nearby to stay the night before and night after the wedding, thus avoiding long early morning or late night drives.
After having a walk around the venue with the two of them the day before, I was super excited to be working at the stunningly beautiful Tylney Hall Hotel, near Hook. Not only was the building itself full of character, the grounds provided endless opportunities for some amazing photos. I also had an assistant for the day in the form of James (yes, another one!), who was with the groomsmen in the morning before joining me for the ceremony onwards.
Charlotte was quite emotional in the morning, after finding a little gift from James as she got ready, and definitely relied on her dad and bridesmaids for comfort as she made her way downstairs to a waiting James. The ceremony took place in a grand theatre-style room, with a stage at one end, which really set the tone for the rest of the day. Afterwards, there were candids, confetti and some group photos in the Italian Gardens, before I took the two of them around the grounds for some couples photos before getting them back for the meal and speeches. No doubt their engagement session a few months prior at RHS Wisley really helped them with their confidence and posing skills.
As it was only early September, we had the opportunity of the sun setting in that natural lull between the speeches and evening guests arriving. Wanting to make the most of the expansive grounds, we found some different parts of the venue for another wander and some extra couples photos. Before long it was time for the cake cut and some dancing, with everyone more than happy to get up on the dancefloor for a boogie!
But the fun didn't stop there. James & Charlotte had a fireworks display planned, so after a few quick night time photos in front of their venue, everyone gathered back at the Italian gardens for the grand finale - what a way to end a fantastic day in Hampsire.
