The Knowle Country House Summer Wedding with Tony & Hannah

Nestled in the north Kent countryside between Gravesend and Rochester sits The Knowle Country House. What it lacks in size it definitely makes up for in charm, and this was my first time working here for Tony & Hannah's wedding day back in June. They had also booked my Everest package to be sure nothing was missed, and even had a beautifully designed album thrown in for good measure!

As always I arrived nice and early to introduce myself to the staff and have a look around for some photo opportunities for later. I found Hannah and the bridal party upstairs getting ready, and from the giddy atmosphere in the room I could already tell it was going to be a really fun day.

While timings were a little tight before the ceremony, Hannah wanted to do a 'first look' with her dad, which was a really sweet moment, and one of the reasons I always suggest doing one if there's time. The ceremony was outside under the gazebo, with lots of smiles and laughter from Tony, Hannah, and their guests. They even had confetti afterwards and one of the most dramatic bouquet tosses I've seen in a long time.

After some group photos, I took the couple for a little tour of the venue, including around the cute little lake, with its viewing platform and enormous weeping willow tree - the perfect spot for a sit down on the bench. Back inside, the reception details were a masterclass in sophisticated decor, and the speeches were, as always, a great occasion for everyone.

With the sun setting, I took them both out for some quick photos at the front of the venue in the soft golden light, with Tony & Hannah no doubt enjoying a few minutes alone before the evening got underway - starting with the cake cut as everyone cheered! Afterwards, the dancefloor was heaving and everyone was really ready to party the night away. But I had one last idea...

As the last remnants of sunset played out, it left the sky an amazing red colour. With a little photography magic, I gave them both a fitting end to their wedding coverage in the gazebo.
