Stock Brook Country Club Summer Wedding with Steven & Nina

The warm spell in the summer of 2021 continued on, and much of July was easily up in the high 20s/low 30s, so it bode well for Steven and Nina for their wedding. I arrived in good time for Nina and her bridesmaids getting ready at her and Steven's home in Chigwell. Nina's parents has also come over from Finland for her wedding, and had been staying in a hotel in quarantine leading up to the big day.

As always, I was made to feel really welcome, and there was a great rapport with everyone as the girls all got ready, but it wasn't long before it was time to leave for the drive to the ceremony/reception venue - Stock Brook Country Club. As I was driving over, Cheryl - my second shooter for the day - was busy getting photos of Steven and the groomsmen getting ready, as well as their guests beginning to arrive.

Stock Brook Country Club really had that 'wow' factor, from the ceremony area with a mezzanine floor, to the vast outdoor spaces and grounds, and the elegant reception room upstairs, with it's vast skylight. After tying the knot, there was a 'bubble' line up for the happy couple, steel drum music and drinks, and a chance to venture into the sunshine for some group photos before everyone headed upstairs to sit down for the meal on immaculately decorated tables with pastel colours and floral details everywhere you looked.

The speeches were, as usual, a real highlight, and all the speakers received huge rounds of applause. Afterwards, with the temperature more tolerable and now low in the sky, I took Steven and Nina back outside for some golden hour photos of the two of them in the beautiful light - complete with a bit of a veil 'flick'. It was then time for the cake cut and first dance, with some great spins and moves from the two of them, and a bouquet toss and some dancing to finish off a fantastic day.
