With the majority of my engagement sessions in the spring, it was great to catch up with Charlotte & James at a slightly warmer time of year, and at one of their favourite places to visit - RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey. Charlotte & James were initially unsure about whether to have an engagement session, but the chance to work through their camera shyness and anxiety before their wedding day is one of the main reasons I recommended having one, and they soon saw the logic in my suggestion.
I had never been to RHS Wisley before, so was unsure what to expect, but I was blown away by the possibilities it afforded us for the afternoon. It really was the perfect outdoor space for an engagement session, where you could easily lose yourself amongst the immaculately landscaped gardens. The three of us had a great time exploring, while Charlotte & James had the chance to learn some tips and tricks, as well as some key poses.
By the end of the 2 hour session, it's fair to say any camera shyness had been forgotten about, and they were both full of confidence ahead of their wedding day later in the year. Engagement sessions are also a great way to catch up and discuss wedding plans, or even meet for the first time if you've booked me online - something which is hugely beneficial before your wedding.
If you'd like to arrange your own engagement session, remember you can get a discount on one by booking one of my three 'full day' wedding collections.
