I'm very lucky to have the beautiful Lympne Castle on my doorstep, and I always look forward to coming here again and again. This time I was assisting at the gorgeous wedding of Chelsea and Matt late last November. It may have been a bit of a grey day, but the Christmas trees were already up outside and inside the castle, which made for a bit of added extra sparkle to an already colourful and lively event! Matt and his groomsmen had opted for a different look, with purple/burgundy suits and floral ties, with one groomsmen in particular taking it a step further with a dark blue and teal floral suit!
I caught up with Mykey from Mykey Day Photography again for this wedding as the groomsmen were getting ready in the cottages just outside the main gates before the ceremony. Matt was cool as a cucumber and had his best friends on hand to entertain him, as well as Chelsea's dad. We had great fun with the boys before the guests started to arrive and events really kicked off.
After the ceremony there was just time for some big group photos outside and a confetti toss before the weather closed in a little bit, and we went back indoors for the remainder of the group photos. Thankfully we managed to sneak the couple out through the day for their own photos, as well as some great night time ones before we left.
In a bit of a twist to tradition, both the bride and groom decided to do a 'bouquet toss' after the first dance. But instead of a bouquet, Matt tossed an empty whisky bottle box, while Chealsea tossed an empty champagne bottle box. I'm not sure if that means the recipients of each have to marry each other, but it was certainly entertaining to watch!
