I've been an admirer of Laura's modelling work for some time so it was great to finally find a time when we were both free to collaborate of a great fashion shoot together. We headed to the Hucking Estate near Maidstone. You may remember I came here with Emily for a bluebell shoot this time last year, and we were hoping to replicate aspects of this shoot again this time, but with more of an emphasis on the wider area around this woodland trust estate.
Laura's fantastic look and makeup was done by Kerry-Ann, who also helped me during another shoot at the Oare Gunpowder Works earlier in the year. Kerry again helped me with the lighting for this shoot which really helped to create a lovely warm, airy feel to the shaded parts of the woodland and really put a sparkle in Laura's eyes.
You can tell she she's been modelling for a long time, and Laura just effortlessly went from one look to the next. Together we got a lot of different looks throughout the shoot; from casual and urban, to a bit more outdoorsy, to more formal with a floral dress to finish. The bluebells may have been starting to fade at this point but they definitely played second fiddle to Laura on this occasion. Hopefully it won't be long before I can shoot with her again.
If you'd like to arrange your own woodland session, be it on your own or with your partner or family head over to my portrait photography page for some more information. Alternatively you can send me a message on the contact page with your ideas so I can start putting a shoot together for you!
