I always love returning to Hothfield Common, as it's such a beautiful location whatever the time of year. That being said, It's not often I find myself going there in spring or summer, and it was great to see the heathland so green for a change!
This was my first time meeting Sarah and Dan ahead of their wedding at The Orangery in Maidstone, but almost straight away we really connected so I knew this was going to be a great engagement session. They also brought their two daughters along, as they wanted to get some lovely family photos of all four of them mixed in with photos of just them. Thakfully, they also invited some family members too so they could look after the girls if we wanted to head off for a few minutes.
Even though I know this area really well, I always like to arrive a little early if I can to have a look for some good spots to put couples (and their kids!) for the photos, as I like to do a good mix of more traditional 'posed' photos with some more natural situations, too.
As I had some places in mind to use, we basically went on a little tour around the area with their two girls while enjoying the late spring sunshine. It was easy to let time run away with us as we were having so much fun, and I think it's fair to say Sarah and Dan's girls stole the show whenever they were present!
I'm really looking forward to seeing these two again in August for their big day, and I hope the sun comes out on that day as well.
