It's been some time since I last went to the Secret Garden & Pergola next to Hampstead Heath, as it's a bit of a walk uphill from the nearest Tube Station. That being said, I suggested it as the perfect location in London for Hannah & Jamie's engagement session, as it was likely to be quieter than doing something in the middle of the city. Or so I thought!
Given it was a pretty warm Sunday in June, there was quite a few people there. Something I didn't have a problem with last time as it was in the middle of February! This did make it a little tricky to try and time the photos of Hannah & Jamie so there wouldn't be anyone in the background. It also meant being a little more creative with locations and compositions - photography is all about problem solving after all.
Despite all this, the overhanging flowers and plants, white Greek-style columns and a real mix of architecture gave way to so many possibilities and locations while we were there. It was also great to see Hannah & Jamie really take to the experience of being photographed so quickly - they were naturals.
By the end of the session, I was super happy with the huge variety of images that they would be receiving in their their online gallery. Don't forget, when booking an engagement session, you will receive ALL the best images, with no restrictions on downloads.
If you'd like to arrange your own engagement session, remember you can get a discount on one or even a complimentary session by booking one of my three 'full day' wedding collections.
