Every now and then I come across a photo online of the arched stone bridge in the village of Aylesford near Maidstone, and I always think what a great backdrop it would make for a portrait session one day.
After driving up there for a closer look and a wander around the village and the nearby priory, I decided I definitely wanted to do something there, so I got in touch with Ellis to organise a little portrait session one clear summer's evening - giving us plenty of time before the sun set.
We had a great time playing with the lovely warm light, and Ellis had the perfect prop with her straw hat too. It was great playing with some new lighting techniques to really bring out the backdrops around the priory and the lovely little village of Aylesford, especially as the sun began to set over the village and the river - what a fab evening!
