Photography is one of the more satisfying and creative hobbies out there, and with modern equipment at reasonable prices, the barrier to entry is also incredibly low. Buying a camera is a big step up from just using your phone, as it unlocks a wealth of creative control and new possibilities. Whilst it's easy to find tutorials and YouTube videos online, there's something to be said about having someone teach you in person in a friendly and constructive environment.
If you've dabbled in photography before and are interested in trying a new genre, or perhaps want to take your skills up a level, my 1-2-1 mentoring is a great way to experiment, receive feedback, and take away new skills and knowledge. For those completely new to photography, maybe you should consider my crash course. This intensive way to learn arms you with all the tools you need to go out on your own, and includes a detailed set of course notes for you to keep.
Mentoring sessions are a great way to take the skills you already have and further refine them. They are designed with you in mind, and can be tailored towards any topic you wish. Popular subjects include getting into portraiture and working with natural light outdoors, street photography, landscape photography, working with flash, architecture photography, wedding photography. The list is endless! My mentoring sessions are priced per hour and include travel within Kent (this can be an agreed location, or your home if preferable, up to 30 miles from me, but further travel can be arranged at extra cost), as well as some accompanying notes if appropriate.
Mentoring session - £30 per hour

Aiming to teach you everything you need to know, my photography crash course is perfect for those new to the craft who have just bought first digital camera. With 8 modules and a mix of theory and practical elements, the course is ideally completed in around 20 total hours, which can be split into a number of sessions held at an agreed location and/or your home if preferable (travel within Kent, up to 30 miles away from me is included, but further travel can be arranged at extra cost).
We'll discuss the fundamentals of photography, how to best set up your camera, choosing between the different modes, the exposure triangle, composition techniques, and finally putting this all into practice outdoors with and without the assistance of a local model. The cost of my photography crash course is £450, and includes over 40 pages of detailed course notes for you to keep.
